It may take you about, say, point three seconds to hear the immediate Foetus influence in this NYC noisecore bands. The second Tod (A) opens his mouth on "Surprise Surprise", the Thirlwell thing leaps out. And like their fellow demon, Cop Shoot Cop deals with many of the seedier things in life. CSC's motif is a bit different as they feature two bassists and at that time, no guitarist. The end result is a harmful and mechanically vicious assault which is smart enough to employ some good sampling and a sense of sneering melody. "Room 429" is exceptionally gripping in that aspect. There is also some black humor in "Everybody Loves You (When You're Dead)". The album as a whole is quite enjoyable in a dark way and is the one CSC release that I feel is mandatory.
