Lit essentially defines what is wrong with late 90's "hard rock". In a decade, when late night informercials are touting The Big 90s CD collections, you can bet your booty that utter drivel such as this will be long forgotten. I have a real problem with such obviously commercial whiny boy rock that lacks any sort of originality, drive or feeling. From the Cobain gone soft vocals to the lackluster jangly college rock guitar riffs, there is absolutely nothing here to hear. It boggles my mind that people who have some sort of musical talent would want to go into such a stale and unengaging style. It flabbergasts me moreso that people listen to this thinking they're listening to something cutting edge. Review by John Chedsey Review date: 04/1999 |
